Calnegre
This small community consists of two working villages, one on the coast and one slightly further inland. Agriculture and fishing are the main sources of income to the locals, but their beaches have attracted people from all over for many years.
The construction of the new motorway between Cartagena and Vera (Almeria) will no doubt boost the economy of this working community.
The beach on Puntas de Calnegre offers the facilities of the village which include a few bars and restaurants. The restaurants are open all day and serve cheap menus and tapas.
A very peaceful area compared with other resorts in the area like Puerto Mazarron and Aguilas.
